The Gambia is a country in West Africa. It is located on the western shore of the river Gambia, which is one of the major rivers in West Africa. The country has a population of about 2 million people and it is divided into eight regions.

The health system in Gambia is not as developed as other countries in the world. There are many diseases that are prevalent in the country and there are few medical facilities to provide treatment for them.

The health system of Gambia can be improved by investing more money into it and providing better care to its citizens.

The Gambian National Hospital can be found near the Banjul International Airport and close to other major hospitals in the city such as The Gambia Red Cross Hospital.

The hospital has a good number of facilities that are always available to all its patients and visitors. These include the emergency room, pediatric ward, obstetric wards, surgical wards, ICU, maternity ward, outpatient clinic and other services.

Lamin Ceesay Teaching Hospital is located at the heart of Banjul city. It has a total area of 10 hectares with a capacity to accommodate 1 million patients annually as well as staff members who work there.

The UTH has three units: General Medicine, Surgery and Obstetrics & Gynecology. There are also several specialist clinics within the hospital that offer services in different areas of medicine including Cardiology, Endocrinology and Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Diseases, Neurology and Paediatrics.

The UTH is located at Senegambia Avenue in central Banjul. It is situated close to Banjul Central Mosque which makes it easy for patients to access the hospital by foot or by taxi or bus. For those who own cars, there are parking spaces available

The hospital has a total bed capacity of over 400 beds and offers 24-hour emergency services. It also has a state-of-the-art operating theater and an intensive care unit that is equipped with the latest medical technology.

The hospital provides services to patients from neighboring countries like Senegal, Guinea Bissau, Mali, Mauritania and Cote d’Ivoire.

There are two clinics in the hospital that offer services to patients from all over the country. The clinic provides outpatient services, blood transfusion, laboratory tests, and x-ray services among others.

Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital of Gambia was established in 1894 by British colonialists. It started as a small hospital with only two doctors and three nurses.

The hospital has an emergency room for treating patients with life-threatening injuries or illnesses. The emergency room is equipped with resuscitation equipment, surgical facilities and X-ray machines to diagnose patients’ injuries.

Njala University Hospital has a total bed capacity of 1,000 beds and has an average occupancy rate of 80%. The hospital provides services like emergency care, trauma care, maternity care, cancer care and dialysis.

The hospital is equipped with all modern medical facilities like X-ray and CT scan machines, laboratory equipment and blood bank. They also have a well-stocked pharmacy and laboratory.

Njala University Hospital has designated areas for outpatient services while they also have on-campus accommodation for students and staff members who are studying at the university’s medical school.

The hospital has a capacity of 50 beds, including maternity ward and emergency department. The hospital has an outpatient department with a capacity of 40 patients at a time and laboratory services for routine tests such as blood tests, X-rays and ECG.

The medical centre has on-site laboratory testing facilities, x-ray services, pharmacy, operating theatre, dental clinic and other health-related services. The centre also provides various mental health treatments as well as rehabilitation services for people who have been discharged from the hospital or who need assistance with their recovery process after undergoing surgery or treatment.
