Myanmar is considered to be one of the least developed countries in Asia. Its health system is not functioning well and it is struggling with the challenges of being a developing country.

The healthcare system in Myanmar has been improving since the country began its transition from military dictatorship to democracy. However, there are still many challenges that need to be addressed, such as lack of access to healthcare and poor quality of care.

Yangon General Hospital is the largest hospital in Myanmar with its own international brand. It has a capacity of 3,200 beds and provides both inpatient and outpatient services. It is located at No. 2, Pyay Road, Yangon, Myanmar

The hospital has a well-equipped emergency room that can handle all types of emergencies from trauma to heart attack to stroke and more. In addition, it offers 24-hour emergency care services for patients who need immediate attention

Myinmu hospital has been at the forefront of medical innovation and research, setting up a number of firsts such as the first blood bank in Myanmar and the first kidney transplantation in Myanmar.

Facilities:

The hospital provides medical care for patients from all over Myanmar and neighboring countries such as Thailand, China, India, Bangladesh. The hospital also provides outpatient care to patients from neighboring countries who are not eligible for admission to Myinmu Hospital.

The Myinmu Hospital is located at 30th Street (between 33rd Street and 34th Street) near Inya Lake. It can be found by following signs leading to Inya Lake or by using GPS coordinates 31° 57′ 56″ N 93° 29′ 21″ E

The hospital is located on the corner of the main road in Bagan, which is about 2km from the city centre. The hospital has two floors and an attached dispensary. The hospital has an emergency ward, outpatient department, consulting rooms, and wards for surgical patients. The emergency ward can accommodate up to 20 patients at a time.

The eye surgery unit has three operating theatres with advanced equipment such as lasers and microscopes for eye surgery procedures like cataract removal and corneal transplantation. There are also three beds for overnight observation during surgery cases.

Myoma Hospital is located at #232, Kyawswa Street, Bahan Township, Yangon, Myanmar. It has a total area of 651 square meters and can accommodate up to 80 patients at a time.

Myoma Hospital offers free WiFi access to all patients and visitors with their own devices as well as free parking spaces for cars near the hospital entrance.

MGH is one of the most important hospitals in Myanmar. It is also known as the “Mother Hospital” because it is where many women give birth to their children. The hospital has a capacity of 1,000 beds with 2,000 staff members, including doctors and nurses.

The hospital has all sorts of facilities such as a blood bank, an outpatient clinic and an obstetrics department that offers various medical services such as antenatal care, childbirth and delivery services, gynecology services, pediatric care and orthopedics care among others.

7.Mawlamyine General hospital (MGH):

Central Hospital of Myanmar (Burma) is located on a 2-acre land in Yangon, which has a total area of 1,400 square meters. The hospital has 4 floors, each consisting of intensive care unit, emergency center, maternity ward and other wards.

Naypyidaw General Hospital is the largest hospital in Myanmar and is located on the outskirts of Naypyidaw, the capital of Myanmar. The hospital has 300 beds and nearly 1,000 staff members. The hospital provides all kinds of medical services to its patients, including surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, gynecology, ophthalmology and dentistry.

The Naypyidaw General Hospital also has a host of facilities for its patients including an accident & emergency department with 24-hour emergency care; an outpatient clinic; a dental clinic; a pharmacy; and an outpatient laboratory service

11.Kyaukpyu General Hospital:

Kyaukpyu General Hospital is located at No. 16/1-2 Kyauktawgyi Street in Kyaukpyu city which is about 10 kilometers from downtown Kyauktawgyi town. The nearest bus stop for this hospital is found at No 8 on Nanthasan Road near the junction with Pyay Road (the road leading to the airport).

12.Rangoon General Hospital:

Rangoon General Hospital is the largest hospital in Myanmar. It was founded in 1883 by Sir George Scott, a British doctor. The hospital has been providing quality healthcare services to the people of Rangoon and its surroundings since then. Myitkyina General Hospital is located in Myitkyina, a city of Kachin State, Myanmar (Burma). It is about 100 kilometers away from the state capital of Kengtung. It has a total area of about 6 hectares with a built-up area of 1.8 hectares and an overall length of 210 meters and width of 160 meters. The hospital has been renovated to provide modern medical services to patients from different parts of the country.

The hospital has two emergency departments, one for general medicine and one for surgery, as well as 24 beds for maternity care and 18 beds for obstetrics and gynecology care. There are also four wards with 16 beds each that can accommodate patients ranging from newborns to adults who require intensive care or surgery.

Moulmein Medical College Teaching Hospital offers a variety of services including general medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, dentistry and pediatrics. It also has a medical college and an affiliated teaching hospital which are affiliated with Moulmein University.

The hospital has more than 100 beds available for patients in its wards and wards on-call 24 hours a day. It also has a state-of-the-art emergency room with an advanced diagnostic system to diagnose patients quickly and accurately.

15.Bagan General Hospital:

The hospital is located on the outskirts of Pyin Oo Lwin, at a distance of around 6 kilometers from downtown. The hospital has an area of over 5 acres and has over 600 beds. The hospital has a staff of 1,600 people and provides patient care to over 100,000 people every year.

The total number of doctors at Pyin Oo Lwin General Hospital is about 250 with 1,000 medical students graduated from local universities and colleges annually. There are also about 300 nurses who provide care for patients in various departments including obstetrics, pediatrics, gynecology and psychiatry.

Pyin Oo Lwin General Hospital also offers services such as outpatient clinics for general medicine and dental treatment as well as diagnostic services such as ultrasound scans and X-rays for minor ailments like high blood pressure or headaches.
