Top 20 Hospitals of Niger

Niger is one of the poorest countries in the world. They have a high infant mortality rate and low life expectancy. The health system in Niger is not working well due to lack of resources and infrastructure.

Niger is located in West Africa, bordering Algeria, Burkina Faso, Chad, Libya, Mali, Mauritania and Senegal. Niger has a population of over 18 million people with a total area of 446 000 square kilometers. The country has a diverse economy that includes agriculture, livestock and mining industries as well as natural resources such as uranium.

The health system in Niger is one of the poorest ones in the world with an infant mortality rate of 82 per 1000 births and life expectancy at just 51 years old (compared to 82 years for France). There are many factors that contribute to this poor health status including lack of access to healthcare services and poor sanitation conditions.

Sotuba Hospital is located in Sotuba city, which is about 20 kilometers from Niamey and about 40 kilometers from the airport. The city is currently served by two hospitals including Sotuba Hospital.

The hospital offers medical services like obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, general surgery, orthopedics and emergency care among others. In addition to this it also offers maternity services for women who have had no previous deliveries or have not delivered their baby for more than 24 hours after birth.

The Bourem Hospital is managed by the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs and it has 556 beds. The hospital is equipped with modern medical equipment such as X-Ray, CT Scan and MRI scan machines. Other facilities include – an operating room, a laboratory, an outpatient department, a pharmacy, an emergency room and a maternity ward.

Bourem Hospital also offers other health related services including – Physiotherapy center for patients with orthopedic problems; Rehabilitation center for patients with stroke; Outreach program to communities in need; Community health education program on AIDS prevention; etc.

3.Hospital de la Salpêtrière:

The hospital has a capacity of around 400 beds. The facilities include two psychiatric wards, a neuropsychiatric ward, a general ward, an emergency ward and an outpatient clinic.

Hospital de la Salpêtrière offers its patients comprehensive services that include medical care and psychiatric treatment. The hospital also provides social support for patients from the community who are affected by mental illness.

Hôpital d’El Kef has been a part of the Niger health care system since 1962 when it was founded by the French colonial administration. The hospital’s mission is to provide health care to residents of Niamey and surrounding areas.

The hospital offers medical services for adults, children, and maternity care. It also provides outpatient services for patients with chronic illnesses or injuries who are unable to come into the hospital for treatment or surgery.

The hospital was founded by Dr. Henri Malbrunot in 1892 and has been managed by doctors since then. It has an area of 5,000 square meters and offers a wide range of services such as surgeries, medical consultations, X-rays and other diagnostics tests like mammography and ultrasound scans among others.

The Hôpital d’El Maamar has four inpatient wards with beds for 120 patients each; two outpatient clinics; five operating theaters; three recovery rooms; a pharmacy; two laboratories; and an intensive care unit (ICU).

Hôpital des Enfants Malades et Migrants d’Oran of Niger is a hospital that provides medical care for children and pregnant women. It is located in the city of Agadez, Niger. It also offers a radiology department with two ultrasound machines and an X-ray machine.

It was established in 1958. The hospital has a total area of about six hectares and extends over a distance of about two kilometers from east to west. The hospital has three buildings that are interconnected by covered walkways and corridors.

The UTH offers medical services in all its departments, including emergency, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, pediatrics, internal medicine, oncology and urology. The UTH also has an outpatient clinic with a capacity for 400 patients daily. It also provides laboratory tests such as blood tests, urine tests and x-ray services to the public

10.Hôpital Universitaire de Niamey, Niger

Located on the outskirts of Niamey, Hôpital Universitaire de Niamey has four large buildings, each with its own specialty. The complex also includes a maternity hospital, an outpatient clinic with a pharmacy, and four operating theaters.

Facilities include X-ray machines and MRI scanners for general use, CT scanners for specialized use, and an open-air emergency room. The hospital also offers medical services in English, French, Arabic and Hausa languages.

Igbobi General Hospital, Lagos, Nigeria is a tertiary referral hospital in central Nigeria with a bed capacity of 500 beds. It is located at 15A Ojota Road, off Abule Egba Road. The hospital was founded by Dr. Eze Agwu Igbobi who was also the first medical superintendent of the hospital.

The hospital offers a wide range of healthcare services such as general surgery, pediatric surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, orthopaedics and traumatology among others. The hospital also has facilities for intensive care unit (ICU), emergency room (ER), laboratory and radiology departments among others.

12.Omoluabi General Hospital, Lagos, Nigeria:

Omoluabi General Hospital is located at a very strategic location in the heart of Lagos, Nigeria. It is located at the intersection of some major roads and highways which makes it easier for people to access the hospital. The hospital has a total of 447 beds which are divided into wards with separate rooms for patients that are either in or outpatients. The ward I am going to be talking about is Ward 1C which has 20 beds and is mainly used for surgical treatment.

The ward has a dedicated staff nurse, who oversees all aspects of patient care on behalf of the head nurse who manages all nursing activities in the ward.

A general surgeon also oversees all surgical operations in Ward 1C as well as other general surgeons who have been assigned to specific areas within the ward such as Cardiology, Urology, Orthopedics and Neurosur

13.University Teaching Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria:

Location: The National Hospital is located in the capital city of Niamey, Niger. It’s about 6 kilometers from the airport and about 4 kilometers from the central market. The hospital is not far from other major landmarks in the city including government offices and embassies.

The hospital was founded in 1975 by a group of volunteers who were committed to providing health care for the people of Niger. The hospital provides medical services and surgical care, as well as general medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics, and gynecology.

At Hamdallaye General Hospital (Zinder), there is an outpatient clinic with a capacity of 200 beds that offers medical consultations and treatments for common illnesses such as malaria, tuberculosis, hepatitis B and C, HIV/AIDS infection and prevention programs. There are also two emergency rooms that provide treatment for trauma cases or accidents with an emergency room capacity of 40 beds each.
