Top 20 Hospitals of North Macedonia

North Macedonia is a country in the south-east of Europe. Its health system has undergone significant changes since the country’s independence in 1991.

The main challenges that North Macedonia faces are high levels of poverty, limited access to healthcare, and a lack of sufficient medical specialists.

North Macedonia is one of the poorest countries in Europe and its health system is among the best performing in the region. The country’s progress has been achieved through a combination of economic growth, increasing public spending on healthcare, and increased investments from international donors.

Healthcare reform in North Macedonia focuses on improving access to care for those with low incomes through universal healthcare coverage and expanding health insurance schemes to cover more people.

The country currently has an aging population with less than 1% expected by 2050 due to low birth rates and high life expectancy rates.
