Antoine Gizenga Provincial Hospital (AHP) and the Ministry of Health Hospital (MHP). AHP is located in the center of town while MHP is located on the outskirts.
AHP has a total capacity of 1,500 beds while MHP has a total capacity of 500 beds. The hospital also has an emergency room and outpatient clinic.
The hospital offers free medical care for all citizens who have been registered with the national health insurance company. In addition to this, it also offers free medical care for refugees from neighboring countries and for those who are not able to afford it. It also offers free medical aid to pregnant women and children under five years old who are not covered by their insurance plan or if their parents cannot afford it.
