Yemen is located in the southwestern of the Arabian Peninsula. It has a population of over 20 million people. The country is divided into 18 governorates and 2 autonomous regions.

Yemen is not among the top 10 countries in terms of life expectancy, with a life expectancy at birth of 62 years for males and 65 years for females, but it has the lowest child mortality rate in the world, with only 1.4% of children dying before their fifth birthday.

Yemen’s health system consists of public and private sectors, with the public sector providing free healthcare to all citizens. Yemen has a high prevalence of waterborne diseases due to a lack of access to clean drinking water and sanitation facilities. The country also suffers from high rates of communicable diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, leishmaniasis

Al-Thawra Hospital has a capacity of 500 beds, with a total of 400 beds for patients and 100 beds for doctors. The hospital serves all of Sana’a, including rural areas. It also provides medical care to patients from other Yemeni governorates as well as neighboring countries such as Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, and Kuwait.

The hospital has five main departments: Internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics, and gynecology. There are two intensive care units with an average occupancy rate of 30%.

It also has three operating theaters which can serve up to five major surgeries at any given time.

2. Al-Sabeen Hospital, Sanaa:

The hospital has an emergency room with the capacity to handle up to 500 patients per day. It also has an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) which can accommodate up to 20 patients at a time. The ICU is equipped with a ventilator machine for respiratory support and monitors heart rate and blood pressure.

There are also outpatient clinics that provide services such as dental care, physiotherapy, speech therapy, and rehabilitation therapy.

Al-Amal hospital was established in 1999 by the Al-Amal Foundation for Social Welfare. The hospital has been providing medical care to people of all ages since then. The hospital has an outpatient clinic that provides primary care to the community, as well as an emergency room and a pharmacy.

The hospital also has an intensive care unit with both adult and pediatric sections, a laboratory, X-ray facilities, and CT scan machines.
