Vietnam is a country in Southeast Asia. Its capital and largest city are Hanoi. The Vietnam’s health system includes both the public and private sectors. The public sector covers the majority of the population while the private sector caters mainly to those who can afford it. The government has implemented a series of reforms to improve the healthcare system in Vietnam. These reforms have been successful, with life expectancy increasing from 66 years in 2000 to 72 years in 2015.

Sóc Trăng Hospital is a hospital in the Sóc Trăng Province of Vietnam. It is a public hospital, and it provides health services to the people of Sóc Trăng. Construction of the hospital began in 2003 with an investment of US$6 million. The first phase was completed on November 28, 2004, and the second phase was completed in 2005. The hospital has a total area of 10,000 square meters and provides medical services to patients from Vũng Tàu and surrounding areas.

The hospital is located near the coast of Bến Thủy District, Vũng Tàu City, with a total area of 10,000 square meters (approximately 2 acres).

CMHV has a total area of about 12 hectares and has a capacity of 2000 beds. The hospital is composed of five general hospitals: General Hospital No 1 (primary care), General Hospital No 2 (specialized care for women and children), General Hospital No 3 (specialized care for surgery), General Hospital No 4 (specialized care for traumatology) and General Hospital No 5 (specialized care for neurology).

CMHV also houses many research centers such as the National Cancer Institute, National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, etc.

7. National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Hanoi:

This hospital is the first and only one of its kind in Vietnam. It has a wide range of facilities including an Obstetrics Department, a Gynecology Department, an Ophthalmology Department, and a Dentistry Department. The hospital was originally called “Hospital of the Holy Rosary” and was located at the corner of Nguyen Hue and Le Loi Streets.

In 1891, it moved to its present location on Nguyen Trai Street (formerly called Quai de l’Indochine) in District 3. The new building opened on December 12, 1893, with an area of 2 hectares and cost about 1 million francs to construct.

In 1904, it became known as “Hospital Saint Joseph” after its patron saint who had been canonized that year by Pope Leo XIII.
