Liberia is a country in West Africa that has been ravaged by two civil wars and an Ebola virus outbreak. It has a population of 4,000,000 and a GDP of $2.5 billion.
The health system in Liberia is very underdeveloped and it is one of the poorest countries in the world. In Liberia, there are only two hospitals that serve about 3 million people. The Ministry of Health does not have enough funds to provide sufficient health care for the population.
The position of health in Liberia as compared to other countries is very low because it lacks medical professionals who are properly trained and experienced with advanced medical equipment and practices.
Liberia’s health system is ranked 116th out of 190 countries on the World Health Organization’s list.

The hospital was established in 1932 and has been providing free care for people of all races, creeds, and nationalities since its founding.
The hospital is located at the corner of 4th Street and 5th Avenue with an entrance on 4th Street and an entrance on 5th Avenue. The main entrance to the hospital is marked by a large statue of Albert Schweitzer holding a globe with Africa on it. The statue faces west towards the Atlantic Ocean so that visitors can see the sun setting into the sea during their visit to the hospital.

Gorgas Memorial Hospital was founded by Dr. Josiah Gorgas, a medical doctor and a scientist who wanted to improve the health care system of Liberia. Dr. Gorgas believed that public health depended on public education as well as sanitation and hygiene practices.
The hospital was originally called “The American Mission” but eventually changed its name to Gorgas Memorial Hospital in honor of Dr. Josiah Gorgas after his death in 1848 .

The hospital’s main building is about 150 years old and was built as a private residence for the family of an American doctor who had come to Liberia to help establish the country’s first medical school.
Ganta Memorial Hospital is located near the center of Ganta and has two entrances: one on the east side of town and another on the south side of town. It is also accessible from all parts of Ganta via paved roads or dirt paths that lead through densely populated areas. Matron Virginia Johnson Memorial Hospital of Liberia was built in 1892 by the American Colonization Society and was originally called “The African Free School”. The building was designed by B. J. Thompson, who also designed the building for the African Free School.
The hospital offers a variety of services to its patients including general medical care, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, internal medicine, surgery, psychiatry and dentistry. It also has a number of support facilities including an outpatient clinic, pharmacy and laboratory services as well as radiology services.
