The hospital was established by Sir Arthur Gordon and named after Queen Elizabeth II as a gesture of gratitude for her support during World War II. The hospital is located on a hilltop on the main street of Lautoka, overlooking the city of Lautoka and the Pacific Ocean. The facility includes an emergency department, operating theatres, intensive care units, medical wards and diagnostic laboratories.
It has been accredited by Joint Commission International since 2004 and is also part of Fiji’s Ministry of Health network.

The hospital provides services to the rural communities of Nadroga, Lomaiviti and Lau. It also provides services to people living in the cities of Suva and Nadi.

The hospital was founded in 1881 by British missionaries and the first medical staff was composed of four doctors, three nurses, and four orderlies. The hospital’s original building was built from coral lime and timber with corrugated iron roofing on the ground floor and shingled roofing on the first floor.

8.National Referral Hospital (NRH):
National Referral Hospital (NRH) is a public hospital in Suva, Fiji. It was established in 1942. The hospital has a capacity of 600 beds and provides health care to the people of Fiji.

The NRH is located on the corner of Kadavu and Labasa Roads, next to the Tuivuna River on Suva’s western outskirts. The hospital is accessible by bus or taxi from all parts of the city.
National Referral Hospital has a variety of facilities including an emergency room, operating theater, outpatient clinics, radiology department, laboratory and pharmacy services.
9.National Orthopaedic Hospital:

Lautoka General Hospital also has a 24/7 emergency department that provides medical services to those who can’t get an appointment with their doctor or dentist on time.
19.Ba Province General hospital:
Ba Province General Hospital is a public hospital in Fiji. It is located at the Ba Provincial Council Building in Ba Province, Central Division, on the main island of Vanua Levu.

Ba Province General Hospital provides healthcare services to patients from all over Fiji. The hospital has a capacity of 300 beds and offers medical services such as general surgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and dentistry.
The hospital also has an outpatient clinic that provides medical care to patients who do not require admission into the hospital. There are also facilities for physiotherapy and rehabilitation which provide a range of treatments for musculoskeletal disorders such as arthritis or spinal cord injuries.
The most recent addition to the hospital’s facilities is an ultrasound unit which was opened in February 2018. This unit allows for diagnosis without having to go through the time-consuming process of going through urine samples or other invasive procedures required by other hospitals
20.Nausori Provincial hospital:
The Fiji National Hospital is located in Nausori, Fiji. It’s a government-owned hospital that provides free health care to the people of Fiji.

The hospital has a total of two operating theatres, one emergency department and one intensive care unit. The emergency department is open 24 hours a day and the intensive care unit is open 24 hours a day on weekends.
The hospital also has an outpatient department that provides services to patients who are not admitted into the hospital itself. The outpatient department is open from 8am to 6pm daily except for Saturdays and Sundays when it opens from 8am to 5pm.
