Honduras is a Central American country that is located in the north-western part of the Caribbean. It is bordered by Guatemala, Nicaragua and El Salvador. The health system of Honduras is not as developed as other countries, but it has made significant progress in recent years.

Honduras’s health system has improved significantly since the 1990s when it was ranked at number 124 out of 191 countries in a study conducted by the World Health Organization (WHO).

The position of Honduras’s health system in the world is largely determined by its access to healthcare and its population’s life expectancy. Honduras ranks among the lowest 10 countries with respect to both indicators.

The hospital was built on an area of 14 hectares that cost $2 million to acquire. The original construction plan called for a hospital with 100 beds, but this was later expanded to 200 beds and finally to 839 beds.

The hospital has four departments: Medical-Surgical, Pediatrics, Gynecology/Obstetrics, and Orthopedics. The hospital also has a pharmacy that provides medicines to patients who need them at no cost as well as an intensive care unit that serves patients with severe or life-threatening conditions.

It was founded in 1978 by Dr. Roberto Talavera and has been operating since 1980. The hospital provides services to people from all over Honduras and some other countries as well like Nicaragua, Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Cuba.

The hospital has a capacity of 500 beds and it employs more than 1000 people including doctors, nurses, technicians and others. HNIN is also an international referral center for children with cancer or other diseases that are not seen frequently in Latin America such as hemophilia or sickle cell disease.

The Hospitulio Municipal La Paz has a total of 180 beds, but it does not have the necessary equipment to provide quality care for its patients.

The facilities are old and not well-maintained. There are also many rooms that don’t have electricity or running water.

It doesn’t have an ambulance or a helicopter, so it takes them up to two hours to transfer patients from the hospital to other medical facilities if they need urgent care.
