Top 20 Hospitals in Papua New Guinea

Papua New Guinea is a country in Oceania, it is located on the eastern half of the island of New Guinea and includes the eastern part of the island of New Britain. Papua New Guinea has a population of around 7.1 million people and it is one of the most diverse countries in terms of languages spoken.

The health system in Papua New Guinea consists mainly of traditional healers and other alternative medicine practices, with few medical personnel and hospitals. The country has a low life expectancy of 64 years old, which is among the lowest in the world. On average, only 1% to 2% percent of people have access to clean water while only 3% to 4% have access to improved sanitation facilities. This means that many people are at risk for getting diseases such as malaria or dengue fever which are prevalent in this region due to poor living conditions and lack of healthcare facilities.
