First Affiliated Hospital of the Sun Yat-sen University of Taiwan is currently located at No. 1, Section 2, Lane 36, Zhongxiao East Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City.

The hospital’s main campus is located on the south side of Kaohsiung City, which houses all administrative buildings and support facilities for the hospital as well as emergency and intensive care wards for patients. The main campus also houses many research laboratories for medical sciences.

It was established in 1949 as the Ministry of Public Health to take over the responsibilities of the former Ministry of Home Affairs.
