The hospital has grown to become one of the most important hospitals in Sudan with over 450 beds and more than 3000 employees. It has grown to become an important center for training medical staff as well as a research center for various topics related to health care such as malaria, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, cancer treatment, heart disease prevention, and management of diabetes mellitus among others.

2. Al-Hadi Hospital

The Al-Hadi Hospital of Sudan is located in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan. It is a public hospital that provides medical services to the people of Khartoum and surrounding areas. The hospital has a total area of 3,000 square meters and it has more than 600 beds.

The hospital offers many medical services including general surgery, gynecology, obstetrics, and pediatrics. It also provides laboratory tests and diagnosis for diseases such as malaria, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS, and tuberculosis.

3. National Eye Institute

The institute has a total of six specialist departments namely, Ophthalmology, Optometry, Glaucoma, Cornea and External Diseases, Neuro-Ophthalmology, and Orthoptics. The Red Sea Hospital of Sudan is located in Khartoum, the capital city of Sudan. The hospital offers a broad range of medical services, from pediatrics to oncology. It also has an emergency room with a capacity for 100 patients, operating rooms, and intensive care units that can accommodate up to 250 patients.

It is one of the most advanced hospitals in Africa and provides treatment for patients who cannot afford it elsewhere. The hospital has a capacity of 400 beds, but at times it accommodates up to 700 patients due to a lack of space and facilities.

5. Wad Medani General Hospital

The Wad Medani General Hospital is the largest hospital in Wad Medani and the second largest in Northern Sudan. It has a capacity of 520 beds and includes an intensive care unit, an emergency department, and a maternity ward.

The Sudanese Armed Forces Hospital of Sudan is located in the capital city, Khartoum. It is a military hospital that provides medical care to military personnel, their family members, and civilians. It is also a training hospital for the Sudanese Army Medical Corps.

The hospital was established in 1964 and its current building was completed in 1999.
